About me

Welcome. This is an occasionally-updated page that serves mainly as a table of contents for more up-to-date feeds of my activities.

Currently, I am the managing director of MediaParadox Labs, which helps startups and large organizations reinvent their approach to content and communications. I've spent most of my career as a journalist and entrepreneur at the cutting edge of finance, media and technology.

I spent 17 years as a reporter and editor in the business section of the New York Times, where I was the founding editor of its award-winning Bits blog. In 2009, I joined AOL to run its Seed.com content network and then became the big news editor at the Huffington Post. In 2012, I founded Sii.TV, a startup that created technology to enable personalized video newscasts on demand for mobile devices and connected televisions. Earlier in my career, I covered Wall Street and Banking at Institutional Investor.
